On this page you will find up-to-date information on how our three church communities are adapting to the Coronavirus Pandemic – including details of reopening for worship, and Private Prayer, along with information about our Online Worship, and a range of other resources.
Re-Opening Phase II – Public Worship
Sunday Services – Outdoors
Taking advantage of the summer weather, we are worshipping outside for the month of August. You are warmly welcome to join us, rain or shine, as we worship together at a simple outdoor service in our beautiful church grounds.
Christ Church Rossett – 9.15am every Sunday
St Martin’s, Llay – 11am every Sunday
St Paul’s, Isycoed – 6.30pm on the first and second Sundays in the month and 11am on the third, fourth and fifth Sundays.
Midweek Eucharist in Church
In Llay and Rossett, we will begin to meet indoors for worship this week. The service will be a Eucharist, where we listen to God’s word and share in Holy Communion. We will be adopting hygiene measures to keep each other safe, and these have been approved by the Diocese.
Rossett: Wednesdays @ 10am
Llay: Thursday @ 10am
Test, Trace and Protect
In order to support the Welsh Government’s ‘Test Trace Protect’ scheme, we will be collecting peoples’ telephone numbers at each indoor Eucharist – to make this simpler and safer, it would be good for forms to be filled-in before the service and then brought with you, although there will be forms available at each service. You can download the form to print off and fill in here:
Live Streamed Services
Our pattern of online worship is:
Sunday – Holy Eucharist @ 8am and Sermon @ 6pm
Tuesday – Friday – Daily Prayer @ 10am
You can find the Order of Service for the Eucharist here.
The most recent Sunday services can be found below and you can find other services by scrolling to the bottom of this page or visiting us on Facebook.
(NB: you don’t need a Facebook account to view these services).

Fr Dominic Appointed as Vicar of Holywell
It was announced today that Bishop Gregory has appointed Fr Dominic as Priest-in-Charge of the Holywell Group of Churches in the Estuary and Mountain Mission Area. Dominic will be licensed to this new role on 1st November and will continue as our curate until some point in October.
Fr Dominic says, ‘There will be time in the future for proper good-byes, but this gives me a chance to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone in our three church communities – I couldn’t have asked for a more loving, supportive place to begin public ministry, and it has been a joy and privilege to live and work amongst you. I am also particularly grateful to Fr Huw, whose teaching and example means I feel ready to embrace this next opportunity. Please do pray for me and for the people of Holywell. ‘
